What can affiliate coaching do for you and is it worth the investment? If you’re interested in building a long term profitable affiliate business, a coach can make all the difference. There’s a number of reasons you should get a coach for help with your affiliate business:
- Accountability – having someone to hold you accountable is massive for an online business. It’s far too easy to quit when things aren’t going the way you expect. A coach holds you to account and makes it harder to avoid the all important work.
- Technical help – affiliate coaching can help you overcome technical issues such as tracking or running marketing campaigns.
- Resources – an affiliate coach has already had the success you strive. They will be able to shortcut your journey by pointing you to the most valuable resources they have used themselves.
- Mindset – is one of the most important aspects of success with an affiliate business – some would even say the “key”. Affiliate coaching can help you undercover your negative blockages to success, and the concepts you might hold in mind which stop you from moving forwards. (Self talk and limiting beliefs can be invisible to you, but very visible to your coach).
- Belief – One of the main difficulties for beginners with affiliate marketing is getting beyond their own self doubts and negative beliefs. As Henry Ford famously said “Whether you believe you can or you cannot, you are right”!
Affiliate Coaching Program – My Story
Back in 2013 I was a struggling affiliate jumping from course to course. No matter how many courses I took, I just couldn’t seem to get anywhere with affiliate marketing. In 2014 I joined another affiliate program. But this was different because it offered affiliate coaching. Once I joined the program I was able to meet other affiliates and get more personal coaching. Here’s me at a local get-together organised through the community. This was in Chester in the UK.
Knowing others on the same journey was massive for me and my affiliate marketing business. It gave me much more confidence in what I was doing. I was able to meet up with founders of the company and other mentors and coaches through their various programs and trainings. Even at a basic level of membership, you can access coaches through various online groups.
Affiliate Coaching – Regular Meet Ups
The regular weekly webinars allowed me to listen in or even ask questions which related to problems I was having personally. Although affiliate marketers do need to be resourceful and able to solve their own problems, I found this helped me enormously.
Just listening to the mindsets and mentality of online business leaders is massively useful. It helped me overcome my own doubts and take larger steps towards achieving the success I wanted from an online business.

You Can’t Do It All Alone! Why Coaching Matters
Affiliate coaching is important for a number of reasons. When I first started out, I thought I could do it all on my own! But time proved that this attitude was a mistake. I was full of doubt and scepticism and everything was a “scam”, even though I was desperate to make it work!
Being in a state or near constant fear isn’t good for an affiliate business. You need some assurance that you’re on the right path. Otherwise you can waste a huge amount of time. I did exactly that! Before getting the right help, I spent several years struggling as an affiliate. I jumped from one strategy to another and never got anywhere; having built many websites which did absolutely nothing. I would have scored 10 out of 10 for enthusiasm; but zero out of ten for know-how!
When I started again and focused on educating myself, things changed quite dramatically.
Get Educated and Keep Learning!
As an affiliate it’s therefore important to get educated and treat your affiliate education as the bedrock to build a profitable business from. As a teacher of mine once said, “you can’t build a skyscraper on the foundations of a cottage“. What I had when I started out doing affiliate marketing was the foundations of a cottage – all enthusiasm but no understanding.
A coach can bring you to a more correct understanding of how to go about building an affiliate business the right way. They can help you uncover some of your limiting beliefs and negative self talk which stands in the way. Plus they are able to point you to resources and people who have helped them personally on their own affiliate journey.
